Exceptional mid-century modern fused glass tray designed by Michael and Frances Higgins, pioneers of the fused glass movement. This striking rectangular dish features their iconic peacock feather design, rendered in luminous blue glass with a hand-painted gold spiral at the center and an elegant gold border framing the rim.

The tray is constructed of two layers of glass fused together, a hallmark of Higgins Studio craftsmanship. This example is one of the larger size produced, measuring approximately 14 inches by 7 inches, making it both a functional serving piece and a standout decorative object.

The signature on this piece dates its production to circa 1957–1965, a highly sought-after period of Higgins Studio work. Founded in 1948, Higgins Studio played a defining role in mid-century American art glass.
